FAQ:

Question:

My unit is blowing a reading of 0.00 and I KNOW I have consumed alcohol.

Answer:

You most likely tried to test your level right after you took a sip of alcohol.  Doing this repeatedly will leave traces of alcohol on the sensor and not allow it to re-calibrate properly.  The unit will then display 0.00 until it is able to re-calibrate.  This will usually take around 15 minutes.

The proper reading should be taken 15 minutes after your last sip of alcohol.  The reading will be based on the alcohol level on your breath from your lungs and not from your mouth.

Question:

I "feel" drunk but I am only blowing 0.05!! This thing must be broken! Is it?

Answer:

Just because you "feel" drunk doesn't mean that you are reading 0.08 % BAC. Every person has a different metabolism. Please refer to our online test on this site to see if your reading is within the range it should be. It all depends on how much, how often, how much food etc as to what your reading is...

Just remember, any alcohol can impair your judgement. You should never drink and drive! Be smart... drink responsibly.

Pocket-Breathalyzer.com and AreUdrunk.com are not responsible for your alcohol consumption (of course!). Drink responsibly.

The last thing you need after a night of celebration is to be driving when you've had "too much to drink".

If you're like most people, you don't know for sure exactly how much alcohol you're body can consume before reaching the legal blood alcohol limit.
